The Strategic Wisdom of Robert Frost

What is the message in the following quotes?

“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens.”     Ecclesiastes 3:1

“Look at what the masses do, and do the opposite!”
Jim Rohn, Self Improvement Pioneer

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken

Business is improving. Margins are growing and everyone is busy. I know because my business is slowing. Business consulting is counter cyclical.

Here’s a short video based on the oldest trail race in the U.S., The Dipsea, that illustrates why NOW is the time to invest in your people. Stephen Covey termed this the IMPORTANT BUT NOT URGENT activity.

Have a blessed Fourth of July. We are all so fortunate to be an American!
Check out the story and suggestion after the video and decide to make today great!

Closing Tip of the Week:

Take a half hour and try the following exercise:

1) List out the core values in your mission statement or business plan.
2) List out, by $ or %, where you are investing your time and money.
3) Compare the two and see if you are out of synch.

Staying “synched” is the key to staying steady through the externalities of business and life cycles. And that can make all the difference!

About pro356rick

I am the founder of Pro356 Consulting which focuses on promoting organizational wellness, productivity, and profitability. I hope to share insights I have learned from so many others in living my life. If they prove useful to anyone, then my time here is well spent. While I have a Harvard MBA, I think I learned quite a bit as a 11 year old paper boy. And I know I will learn from anyone who comments back. Wishing you a masterpiece day, Rick
